Bug With Changing Graphics

I have two glitches with my LoL. the first is very minor and might even be part of the game (im really not sure), but when a update comes out, all my volume and graphics reset, but not anything else. the second is why the first is so annoying to me. this hasn't happened before, but when i changed my graphics back down, nothing happened in the actual game. I checked the settings again to see if it changed in there, and it did. Even when i put it on the lowest graphics, in game it will look like the high (default) settings and when i open settings it says it is at the lowest, even if it isn't. Thanks to anyone who can help.
