Patching Problems (Mac)

Hey guys, I have had some trouble trying to patch league of legends but every time i attempt to open it, a message appears saying "Update Failed - Unspecified error, please check logs for more information". Please help me with this as i haven't been able to play League of legends for several months now. Thanks, let me know ASAP
