Annie's Q
As Annie, if you have your stun up and you throw your q, if you die while q is traveling the damage goes through but the stun doesn't. This happened in ARAM if that makes a difference.

The stun is on hit, not on ability. so this is working as intended.
On the flip side, if you miss your spell, you will not loose the stun and get it on the next hit.

I believe if the champion is damaged, the spell has been hit. Annie's spells do not contain her passive and I believe her passive activates separately which is why stacks are not consumed if a skill is dodged. If this happens again see if your stacks were consumed.
