Ranked duo placement matches

Hello,

I have recently tried to duo queue with a friend who is platinum 1 himself. I am currently still in my placement matches (I was diamond V last season). I cannot invite him to duo queue with me. And I have tried to invite many different friends that are all in different leagues, ranging from gold to master. I have found out that I can only invite other summoners that are diamond III or higher to duo with me in my placement games. I didn't understand why I can only invite such high elo players while I am currently still not placed and havent been higher then diamond V last season. So I made a ticket to Riot about this.

The reponse I got was that the people I might have tried to invite lost their ranked rewards from previous season or were currently still in their placement games themselves. This wasn't the case though. My friend still has his rewards from previous seasons, and also finished his placement games already. Same goes for all the other people that I tried to invite. All of them still have their rewards and are finished with their placement matches.

The reponse I got after this was that I should post this bug here so it can hopefully be fixed in a future patch. I hope Riot sees this fixes it asap! Thank you.
