Anivia Q, a new complaint -Cast Indicators

I used to play Anivia a while ago, but stopped. I came back recently and found the cast indicator(s) completely changed... Not (in my opinion) in a good way. First, the max-range indicator is completely removed; this is something i'm not sure exists for any other skill at all in the game, and i cannot make sense as to why it would be removed. Second, the only indicator (in my default options) is the circle AoE of the stun. That, would be fine for me, if it wasn't locked at the max range border... cursor beyond the range? it sits on the border, cursor right next to you? it sits on the border. It is completely disorienting at first glance... and the only way to make it remotely functional is going into the options and adding the line indicators that I use for literally no other champion (they are distracting, and i turn them off, when not on anivia...).

Now i hear there's a lot of complaints about Anivia's Q where if cast outside max range she will move into range rather than shooting straight away like any other smart-cast ranged skill. This, frankly never bothered me at all, but i do wonder if the complete removal of the max range indicator has effected them at all. I usually use the max range arc to line up my shots, but that's not an option.

TL;DR : Anivia's cast indicators should look like Galio's Q or Atrox's jump, or Any other standard ranged AoE skill in the entire game.
