Bard Q bug

so lost this ranked game cuz bard's Q would actually proc even when hitting only one target, using the closest one as second. it was like the skillshot was working as an L rather than a line. happened several times that game, sadly my plays.tv client wont record that game. did it happen to anyone else? should rito know more about ?
