Typing while map transitions breaks interaction

If you are typing while the game transitions between one fight screen and another (fades to black) it can stop you from interacting with the game at all.

It has happened a few times now. Noticeable in the picture above (mouse not visible for some reason). The mouse turns into the normal computer mouse, and no key presses are logged. The only way to fix this is reloading the game entirely.

This has never happened if I was fighting on my own field (so no fade to black).
