Little legends damage

ok, i find that i see a lot of people on 8 hp on team fight tactics and they lose 7 health leaving them winning the game on 1 hp, then i see a player beat a person like that, then next game losing the 35 hp they had in one loss, where is the balance in that, can anyone explain this health lost mechanics to me?

It's based on what stage you're on, how many enemy champions survived, and what tier/star level those enemy champions are.

Patch 9.15

Player Damage We’re lowering the damage players take from minions and certain champion tier and star levels.

  • Damage from Spiderlings/Elemental Golem: 2 ⇒ 1
  • Tier 4 (1 Star): 3 ⇒ 2
  • Tier 5 (1 Star): 4 ⇒ 3
  • Tier 3 (2 Star): 4 ⇒ 3
  • Tier 4 (2 Star): 5 ⇒ 4
  • Tier 5 (2 Star): 6 ⇒ 5
  • Tier 4 (3 Star): 7 ⇒ 6

That's per surviving unit.

Patch 9.16

Player Damage We made some changes to player damage in patch 9.15 and overall it worked well. But it led to games being longer than intended, especially when fights were close. So we’re making some more adjustments. Overall damage should still be less than at launch. Base damage now scales with current stage.

  • Stages 1-2: 1 damage
  • Stage 3-4: 2 damage
  • Stage 5: 3 damage
  • Stage 6: 4 damage
  • Stage 7+: 5 damage

When you lose a round, watch your Little Legend. Usually it'll take a first barrage (the surviving unit penalty), and then a second hit (the base damage for the stage).
