Rapid Fire Cannon (Eve and Akali) causing ults to miss

If you have a rapid fire cannon attached to eve or Akali, They will ult from 2 tiles away due to their increased auto attack range but their ults are only 1 tile in front of them and therefore miss everytime a target is 2 tiles away. Repeatable 100% of the time.

don't you think thats intended? the units ability has a range and you casting it outside of that range
