Assassin sometimes not jumping when on second row

My rengar was on second row, so not in direct contact of the enemy. But he did not jump, an enemy started walking towards him at the beginning of the round and he autoattacked him instead, he did not seem to go invisible either because he was the first to be focused and died in 3 seconds
