If you have wins higher than 50%, it will force you to it If you have less than 30 or so games, it will keep happening until you get placed The best way for them to introduce you to ranked is to go out of the way to make it as unfun as possible until you learn that trying new things out is the thing that losers do, you can only play the dominant strat (or it's counter)
