Let's Fix Match Toxicity!

There's always gonna be toxicity in League, that's undeniable and it happens in every game on the market too. But this year I have noticed with many others, that 2019 has been just a cesspool of toxic comments and behaviour.

I linked an example of some of the awful comments you can get in a single game. I could track and try and show every toxic comment, but it gets to a point where you just mute and hope for the game to be over.

[sg-zephyr] Now for some changes!

I don’t know if it’ll make a difference, but I think there’s gotta be a way to make good positive people feel rewarded to dealing with toxic players. Here are some ideas I had:

  1. More punishing report system. I don't think every person in a toxic match should be banned or lose all honor level (we all have bad days sometimes and sometimes toxicity is just a reaction out of frustration), but I think they should be punished more frequently (even ban for 1-3 days would remind them of their actions). WIth that, I think it'd be good to feel like your reports do matter. Not many people actually get punished, and sometimes I feel like "well if it's not gonna do anything, why bother reporting them?" But then the issue of these toxic players continues!! It feels great to get that notification when a person you reported gets banned. However, this has happened maybe 2-3 times in my entire league experience of 2 years or so. When there have been way worse people I've seen, not even get punished. Let's fix that~

2.** "All mute"**. I think the option to mute everyone on both teams would be a good feature. By this I mean, EVERYONE on a single button when you Tab or when you go into options. Make it easy for people to click and turn off. I think this is a good idea, mostly because everyone causes these horrible toxicity issues. Your team starts to flame, then the enemy starts and sometimes the process of muting everyone (while not necessarily hard of course) just makes people sit there and fume more about the bad match. But also with this my idea is to make sure all mutes remain at the end of the game because most toxic behavior to me is at the match results. People tend to make horrid mean remarks before leaving the lobby, like: "Jng diff", "shit ___". While not the worse things in the world, reading that when you just had an awful time makes it worse.

These are just some ideas I had.

Lemme know what you guys think!! Sorry for the essay ;; [sg-syndra]

I think you had a bit of bad luck. In my experience no one talks at all, let alone have a full conversation degrading people.

I think riot should let people be toxic in chat. They should not allow trolling, win-trading, intentional feed, and intentional bait ban.
