Cannot connect to server bug still around.

I thought riot resolved this?? I que in for a ranked game and when Im loading in the client will crash and refuses to let me reconnect. It takes around 10-15 minutes to get it connected, and by then you're so behind you just insta give LP. Anyone else having this issue still?

edit: PS: Why isn't there an auto detect feature that doesn't punish people who run into this issue? isn't there a way to detect disconnects? also this is a mode that should definitely be regulated by something along those lines seeing it's a solo game.
