Game won't open occasionally (in progress bug) + Characters completely stop moving

I understand that bugs happen in a beta, but I am losing LP from these two bugs.

I had 3 rounds yesterday when they ended in stalemates (thus us both taking damage) and one of those caused me to be knocked out earlier than I should have, all because both of our people's characters just completely stopped moving mid-fight and don't attack on either side of the board.

Secondly, I am currently sitting here while a game goes on, and my game won't open past the "Game in Progress Screen" even after restarting client, computer, internet, etc.

For the game in progress one, if it happens again, open your task manager and kill all LoL processes and then reopen. It worked for me anyway, there was an active process that was the actual game, even though I couldn't see it. Then when I reopened the client and logged back in, it started the game. It definitely needs to be fixed, but if you're quick enough then you might get in by 2nd creep round.
