Thief's glove + making a tier 3 from Caroussel

Had a tier 2 Varus with another tier 2 varus on bench and 2 tier 1. Got the final Varus from Caroussel and it knocked the Thief's gloves off the Varus I had in play during upgrade to Tier 3 but made it impossible to put items on the Varus, his slots just became black squares.

Kinda annoyed since it meant that my Carry became useless and my team just crumbled. Went from top 3 to coming 7th. Big sad.
