In-game lag

Half way through my most recent game (that I just lost as 8th place) I was unable to sell/buy units or switch units on/off the board. Before I lost my last hp I had about 75+ gold, not because I didn't want to spend them and upgrade my units but because I was unable to do anything with it. It's also quite funny that the units would "slip" back to their original place while I try to rearrange them in the standby area as well. :/

I exited the game and then reconnected. My first attempt failed because the server was unable to be reached (or something like that). So I closed the window and then reconnected again. Then that popup came up again, but I ignored it. I was actually able to reconnect back to the game (with a black and white screen as i've died) and found that pretty much everyone was lagging.
