champion with Thief's Gloves getting combined results in bugged item slots if item on combine champ

1x 1-star Lucian on board with Thief's Gloves
1x 1-star Lucian on bench
I grabbed a 1-star Lucian with Sparring Gloves from the carousel

Result: Thief's Gloves on item bench, 2-star Lucian with Sparring Gloves and blocked (black) item slots 2 and 3 on the board. Expected result: Either 2-star Lucian with Thief's Gloves on board and Sparring Gloves on item bench or 2-star Lucian with Sparring Gloves and usable slots 2 and 3 and Thief's Gloves on item bench

Just experienced this with a 2-star Lulu with a Recurve Bow and a 2-start lulu with a Thief's Glove , combining to get the 3-star Lulu (after she had ran off and picked up a 2 items from the Thief's glove) I ended up with a 3-star Lulu who had a Recurve Bow and two items from the Thief's Glove (the Thief's Glove had disappeared)

Given that when you try to give a champ an item when they are holding the Thief's Glove it is rejected and put back on the item bench I feel like it should do the same thing on combining to rank the champion up, or all the items go to the bench (in this example, the Recurve Bow and the Thief's Glove or just the recurve bow for the reason above).

If ranking the champion up with a Basic item and a Thief's Glove and the basic item should at least get upgraded if the one of the items they get from the Thief's Glove is a Basic item or the Thief's Glove should disappear to allow you to still get two items from its effect. I can't remember what two items I got from the Glove but one was a Static Shiv and I had the Recurve Bow in an item slot and I find that getting two basic items from the Glove (one of which would have to be a tear to get the Static Shiv) with one being the Recurve Bow would be very unlikely considering that most of the time you always get a tier 2
