Whatever you do, don't start playing ranked right away.
You have to learn to play several supports for ranked. Not being good at jungle is excusable, but not as a support. Pretty much anytime you are last pick you will get stuck with the role. Have you started playing normal draft modes?
you want 2 full rune pages before ranked at the least, one ap and one ad. dont go for troll picks like lee supp or cho. theres a reason no high elo plays those champs in certain roles because they just dont work. have decent knowledge on all build paths too.
wait till near the end of this season to start ranked. If you do ranked straight out of lvl 30 you'll get b5 most likely.
http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=faresb2000 Your mmr is 800-900 in normal games
unless you're VERY lucky if you do ranked now you will be in bronze.
Do you have at least two full rune pages, one for ad, and one for ap, if you don't then don't even consider doing ranked, also learn to sup and learn to jungle, not talking about being an expert, but just have a feel for it. Also consider a third runepage for more defence.
I made the mistake to play ranked right after lvl 30 and i regret so much. I screwed my mmr and now i am doomed in bronze with +9 lp gains and - 19-24 losses. It's not even funny.
go to op.gg every once in a while and see how good your opponents are on average (do this for games you play solo). Once you are generally against players who are at your ranked goal its probably a good time to start ranked. This game takes a long time to master since a lot of it is threat analysis which requires you to know what any champ with any build can do to you as well as what you can do and what build path is best against your opponent.
It takes a lot less ranked games to practice then play your 10 games and go straight into silver than to place b5 and have to climb over 50 games.
If you really want to start at 30 and you play ranked a lot you should slowly climb as you improve, but i try to minimize ranked play as it is stressful for me. Also you'll have to be bronze for a while while you learn the game and there are a lot of idiots that will trash talk you for being there.
Also you should have 4-5 good rune pages and a 20ish champ pool (that you play). Optimal runes do help.
