ive taken all the critiques from here to heart and its done me very well. Things i need help with: builds, not copy what other people do i want to understand why better, idk why but i have a hard time autoing i know i need practice but practicing only helps when you know what youre doing wrong, and when to be aggresive. any help would be greatly appreciated.

builds are fairly easy. evaluate what your opponent has in terms of Damage types, CC, and whether they are spell or auto focused. Then find the item that counters it. high attack speed auto'er annoying you? build randuins if you need to live longer for the hp attack speed slow and armor, or if you have a good amount of hp and/or they have a ton of these auto attackers build frozen heart/thornmail.

However ADC's and most mages have a more or less set build.

This is just my opinion correct me if im wrong as im nowhere near pro. (2nd account)

Build wise my advise would be to find out what items are viable for your champ then read what they do until you understand their benefits and drawbacks. If it's defensive look at the enemy team. If they're all AD then you really don't need that spirit visage or banshee's veil. Offensive wise, again look for synergy with your spells and play style. For instance Black Cleaver is generally my first item on Darius for the cdr and I can spam my Q.

Autoing? Do you mean last hitting? I practice when I start by letting the minions attack each other and maybe trade a few autos among them then only hit when I can kill the minion. It helps to practice this and left click on the minion to see its health and you'll get a gauge for how much health they should be at eventually. Hope this helps and good luck on the Rift!
