Creating a 5's team dedicated to Synergistic Team Compositions. =) *************
I would like to get with a group of guys or gals who are as interested as I am in preparing strategies regarding team and ability synergy and composition for 5v5's. Other than the obvious importance of not allowing your particular lane opponent to steam roll to the point of being too strong for the rest of your team, for the rest of the game, to catch up to; I often feel that it's the team's synergy and coordination that matter most at around the 20:00 minute mark (conservatively: it often happens much sooner). I want to brain storm more with these individuals I'm looking for, rather than pretend I have a slew of prepared ideas, but for example:
I think that Zac, an underused champion, provides great synergy with Yasuo, who is a commonly used and lane-versatile champion. What champion works well with Zac, or with Yasuo? Perhaps a Malphite Ultimate could not only provide a great follow up or initiate to Zac leap and bounce, it provides a longer opportunity for Yasuo to do his Yasuo thing. Now, this is will take place during only one moment of a teamfight and you're left with 2 quite tanky champions who deal mediocre damage after their initial burst, despite their ability to continue to to damage for a long time due to their innate tankiness. What is to stop the enemy team from running away, though, after such a devestating knockup combo initiate? Perhaps an Ashe, or Varus; who could continue to keep the enemy team under wraps after the serious knockup and provide some back line sustained damage which this team had lacked at that point. While Zac and Malphite both provide magic damage, it is miniscule compared to what a mage could provide. Who can protect a Varus or an Ashe in lane and provide back lane support to keep our lonely varus safe. Perhaps a Janna, who would provide a third way for Yasuo to work his ultimate; or a Zyra who could easily provided needed magic damage even without dedicated her build to AP.
What of an all Freljord team? Despite the vanity of it, I believe there is a team comp here that could work. Ashe would be the ADC, obviously. And Braum the support. Ashe on her own is pretty darn good at providing Braum the attacks he needs to proc his passive, despite not having an attack speed steroid on her own, I believe her volley helps to do it. Also, the slow from her autos give both of them the necessary opportunity to land a few more auto attacks. Trundle would be a nice addition to this team, Providing a strong, AD based, tank killing champion to the front line. Try escaping braums procs with a pillar of ice (or junk, or a trophy) blocking your way! As if Ashes arrow wasn't enough to keep a team in lane, blocked from running away from a giant pillar of ice, and a scary invulnerable queen doing AOE damage and slowing you as soon as you're un stunned; a rampaging boar riding warrior princess is on her way to throw another AOE stun your way. Now, you're got AOE DPS coming from sej and liss, you can't escape that prolonged CC because of a shield baring mustachio leaving a trail of slowing icy terrain under your feet and leaving each enemy ready to to be stunned at your teammates desire. If you decide you can tank it, Trundle has something to say about it.
How about a Thresh or Braum and Quinn in bot lane, where quinn can pretty much set you up to be stunned or pulled at will and take well advantage of it with her slowing and damage amplifying leap. If you think you can run away, You forgot that you've got a Shaco jungle tricking you into running into the wrong direction and splitting your team up through confusion. If you happen to keep your team together, careful because Valor and the new Sion are coming to let your team know what time it is at a million miles an hour. Then, as if the chase was too fast; but you're happy because you escaped; careful because everyones favorite person to hate Katarina is ready to clean up.
My point is: I believe that team compositions can be more important than lane counters If teams are coordinated and doing it on purpose, if they're practiced in taking advantage of skill synergies. This is how I want to do play. I am a silver 4 support main; I am in no way a pro at this game. I've been playing since season 2, the week Diana was released; and while i'm not the greatest gamer in the world; I do have a nice understanding of this game and it's the only game I play. I want to step up my game, and the game as a whole, to a new level by bringing an approach to synergy that other people around our skill levels simply aren't ready for. Let's take advantage of what the meta is, not try to change it, so we can win having so much fun. Because let's face it, being smarter than other people is just really. damn. fun.
Thanks! My in game name is Billy Pilgrim. Bonus points i you know what my name references without googling it. And yeah, I know how to test you on it to know if you googled it or not. You can add me and talk to me. I play pretty darn often, but find I'm bored lately because I want to up my game! I want to do it with you! Join me.
Guys and girls welcome. 18+, 21+ preferably. I'm 27 years old and while I understand that many 16 year old kids are probably better at this game than I am... I'm a grown up and it's always just a bit odd for me to learn that I'm talking to a child online. I don't want to talk to children online. I'm sure you kids rock, and I don't just mean at the game, and you can feel free to message me and tell me how mature you are for your age; but don't tell me you're not a kid cause frankly, I was a 16 year old kid who didn't think I was a kid, or mature for my age; until I got older and realized that I was, in fact, just a kid. It's life, boys and girls.
Thanks for your time. (No spell check used, don't care, forgive mistakes.){{summoner:2}}
Edit! Feel free to message me, Bronze, Silver, Gold. I have played against gold's and believe I can compete just fine. From what I understand from friends who've gone from silver to gold, the difference isn't that great. In my experience, the different from Bronze to Silver is more of a mindset than a skill set. Go ahead and message me, let's just have fun.
Edit: Respond here and i'll see, too.
