[LFM] Currently looking for Top & Support for main roster! Tryouts now!

Greetings from Venom Academy,

INTRO We are a brand new team who are currently looking for members to join our main roster in the Top/Support role. The core members have been playing for roughly a year together. We are committed to making Venom Academy work for season 6. There are certain requirements to join the team. As you may have saw from the title, please only add us or submit an application if you are Plat 5 or higher. We MAY CONSIDER Gold 3+ depending on how long you have been playing the role. We will go through each applicant and check their history/top 3 champion mastery. If you do not have champions that work for your respective roles (meaning most played are mid/adc/jungle champs), we will not even consider you for a tryout. We have gone through tryouts where they main a different role and want to try out for this position because they think they can accomplish or meet our goals, but it just doesn’t work. We do not want to waste your time so please do not waste ours. Speaking of these goals, please read on.

WHAT WE NEED For the Top role, we are expecting you to be very flexible in picks. Your job is to be able to farm well throughout the laning phase, have enough game sense to know when you are being ganked, to make excellent Teleport plays, to not die multiple times in laning phase, and if you do, to know how to play from behind. On our team, we are expecting you to be the primary tank and not a carry (but may change later on).

Champions in the Top lane that would be wonderful if you know may consist of Darius, Mundo, Gnar, Lissandra, and Malphite. We are completely open to your champion pool, but if you have some of these that can be your “go-to” champ, it would be great for our team. NOTE: We will take your top 5 champions and see if they can fit a comp with our pick/ban coordinator.

For the Support role, we are expecting you to be able to work with our jungler. We are judging your ability to have good vision control, have great trading knowledge, when it is appropriate to roam when needed, and how to team fight as a support player. This is what is needed on our team. Anything extra that you can do will be great as well.

Champions for the Support role that would be wonderful if you know may consist of Alistar, Thresh, Braum, and Leona (these are just some to name). Again, we are completely open to your champion pool, but if you have some of these that are your “go-to” champ would be great. NOTE: We will take your top 5 champions and see if they can fit a comp with our pick/ban coordinator.

SCHEDULE 8:30 PM – 11:30 PM (PST) 9:30 PM – 12:30 AM (MST) 10:30 PM – 1:30 AM (CST) 11:30 PM – 2:30 AM (EST) NOTE: This is a rough draft of the schedule. We will be playing 3 out of the 5 days throughout the week. The weekend will be used as more team practice if needed, but after we have a core 5 that we know will stick together, we will be attempting to play in tournaments on weekends.

GOALS We need to be realistic. We will probably not make the LCS. This is a team where you can come and have a good time. You will be able to gain experience on a 5s team and hopefully grow as a player. We will be going for at least Plat as ranked 5s for the season. If we can reach Plat, the next reasonable goal is to hit Diamond. We believe Plat is very achievable, but we will decide as a team what the next goal is as we hit them.

COMMUNICATION We will be using Discord as our way to communicate with one another during tryouts. You may have it downloaded, but if you do not, we will just send you the link and you may copy&paste into your browser URL. Join it and we will be ready to go.
