Serious players that enjoy the game but still have a life beyond LOL

I am looking to team up with other serious ranked players that enjoy the game but don't want to be the next e-sport superstar. I equate LOL to chess. It's an intellectual game that I enjoy and play daily but I'm never going to be the next Bobby Fisher. I want to play with other gamers that have skill and don't rage. I'm tired of being stuck in Bronze due to either lack of skill or immaturity. I am also older and would like to play with other people that have a mature respect for the game although age is not a requirement.

Honestly why don't you stop by here? We play League and Overwatch primarily and you probably wouldn't be the oldest one here derp. A lot of us enjoy being super competitive (me included), but we're not here to be the next superstar in the e-sports scene either. I respect your view of league. I too have often seen far too many games across the elos, be lost due to simple tilting https://discord.gg/HhKPSQd I'm in here with a bunch of other people who also share similar attitudes towards league(not everyone but the majority shares this attitude) if you do end up reading this post that is. i'm currently offline so I am unable to add you.
