Plat support looking for a duo

I know everyone hears this a lot, but i'm pretty sure i have the worst luck in soloq to exist. As a support main, i find it hard to stay focus on only myself and try to improve myself when a lot of what supports do is help the team win the game. Sure I can stun someone with leona ult, or make an awesome pull, or even ward the objectives. But I am still so dependent on the rest of my team. I'm trying to improve my skills and mechanics, but sometimes it's really hard when your top laner or mid laner goes 0/8 and there is nothing you can really do, even if you land that awesome pull. What I'm saying is, I need someone who knows what they are doing, who can carry a game. I prefer platinum plus, someone who can adc or mid. I do tend to stress over a game i know we can win, but Ive been working on just focusing on myself and nobody else, but like i said before, its hard when your job is to help and protect the team.
