Mordekaiser stats - League of Legends

Hello,

I'm a Silver 5 Mordekaiser main (Silver 3 last season) with 556K mastery points. With AP champions such as Ziggs taking over the bot lane as the ADC role, there are other champions also being used for this role. One of them being Mordekaiser. Before you click away from this, let me explain.

Mordekaiser was reworked in August 2015 on patch 5.16 (the infamous "Juggernaut" patch) to be an ADC. His W (Harvesters of Sorrow) grants him bonus experience from killing minions whenever he's near an ally. This allows him to level up more quickly than the enemy duo lane. He'll hit level 6 by the time the enemy hits level 5. Additionally, his W can be activated to produce a DoT in a circle around both Mordekaiser and his support. The ability can be reactivated to steal health from the enemy and heal for a substantial amount of health. So he fits the role. If you click on the provided link, you'll see that Mordekaiser ADC has had quite a decent win rate for a long time.

So I need somebody who mains a tanky/diving support. The best support for Mordekaiser is Blitzcrank. If the enemy gets anywhere near Mordekaiser, they're as good as dead, due to his Q's earth-shattering damage output (180% total AD and 120% AP on his 3rd Q attack). A Blitzcrank that can land a good pull and bring the enemy close to Mordekaiser is something of great value. Other supports that synergize well with Mordekaiser are Nautilus, Leona, Braum, Tahm Kench, Alistar and Thresh. I'd prefer a Blitzcrank main, but if you main any of these other champions, do comment below.

One more thing: the Youtuber TheLOLHounds recently posted a video guide on Mordekaiser ADC from the best Mordekaiser on the NA server, who is in Challenger tier. If you need extra details on Mordekaiser, click on the following link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wThRHSzjrVw

Thanks so much for reading! Comment below if you main Blitzcrank or any of the other support champions I listed.

Oh I see that 56.2% winrate. I also see that extremely low pickrate. That 5.1% doesn't mean he's picked in 5.1% of games, it means 5.1% of the time someone picks Morde they take him bot lane. When you combine that with Morde's overall pickrate of 0.1% (from that same site) that sample size gets really tiny. Fraction of a fraction. Small enough that you can't accurately gauge bot lane Morde's winrate from such a small data set.

For example, if I play X champion in the jungle and I'm the only one in the whole world doing that, and I win 2 games out of 2, then X champion's jungle winrate is now 100%. Pretty OP right? Well, what if both games I fed my ass off and my team carried me? Still a 100% winrate despite X being garbage as a jungler.

That's not to say you can't find success at bot lane Morde, as the fellow in the video, but you can find success with anything if you practice it enough. A few years ago a guy made it to plat with AP Darius just to prove a point. Imagine if he was serious... or used Flex Queue, where plat is basically challenger.

For your list of viable supports, you could give serious thought to Morg and Karma. They bring ranged CC, and the ability to give Morde the power to run up to the opposition without retaliation. I know I was happy to have them back when I was bot lane Morde at the end of season 5.

Yes, what you said about the sample size being small is true, but you have to consider something else: time. The fact that ADC Morde's winrate has fluctuated between 52-60% for most of the past 1.5 years shows that it IS a decent pick. If it had a 56% winrate for just a month or so, I would 100% agree with you. Also, where it says 0.1% popularity, that's the global popularity for Mordekaiser ADC specifically, not Mordekaiser across all positions.

Actually that shows the opposite. When you have a winrate that fluctuates that wildly without the champion showing up in the patch notes constantly, it means that there's not a large enough sample size to get a good average. You see this most often with challenger level play where there's like three mains on a certain champion, and the challenger winrate for that specific champ goes up and down by large swings almost weekly. That's not an average you can place trust in.

You can see this clearer with the "Popularity History" graph and the "WinRate History" graph. Popularity shows practically nothing in terms of sample size, and WinRate has some very suspicious peaks and valleys; especially in a game where WinRate changes of 2-3% are things that happen after significant buffs and nerfs and 5% or more happen after complete guttings. That one dip around October 2016 is particularly vexing, as it's something you'll often see if a champ has been broken (in an "Oh crap, my Q isn't working" kind of way) by a bug and Riot has to step in and disable them. That might have been the patch they nerfed Rylais, but it's hard to tell exactly when the data point is.

Also, where it says 0.1% popularity, that's the global popularity for Mordekaiser ADC specifically, not Mordekaiser across all positions.

Oh, I forgot to change the drop down menu to "All Roles". My bad. Pickrate for all roles is 1.3 instead of 0.1. That popularity is still exceptionally poor, as he is ranked the fifth least popular champ. The point remains.

If you want to play bot lane Morde, go ahead. Just don't cite a very unreliable statistic, or people on boards here tend to think you're being dishonest on purpose. It was probably an honest mistake.
