Looking for higher elo person with good lane mechanics to teach me tips/tricks(imGoldTopLane)

Hello, I do best at teamfights which is kind of why I play top we generally are the champs with the most cc and team fight oriented skillsets like Maokai, Malphite, Renekton(his qAoE/rAoE tho good at 1v1), Gnar, etc. I know every champion has a place in teamfights but top is generally to control the fight to their advantage.

LANE PHASE UGH: My wave management is pretty bad with most champions im either pushing or getting pushed in too hard to fight back. (Minion dmg adds up early game) Also do you trade lv1 when 3 melee's are dead? I mean on Riven you do, but when is it a good idea to trade when minions are in lane. Obviously if a ton of minions bad time but I want to know when the opportune moments are. As well as when I should set wards since you cannot always ward all the time. (Pinks even get taken out) I think I was told at lv3 to ward and then again near lv6 but idk. Anything lane related you could show me in game or tell me about would be great. And maybe you could even do a custom and lane against me to let me know when I do something dumb no matter how small. I want to be more consistent in lane atm I win hard or do subpar.

PS I know there are videos about this kind of thing but minions changed some recently. Also a video just isn't the same as communication back and forth. :/
