Honestly.... My main barley gold but I cannot consistently win with my friends who are in silver 4 & 5. I don't even play on my main or this acct because we lose more than we win. Best bet is playing with people around your elo so you learn together. Anyone in gold queuing with you will hurt their mmr and will make the games harder for you to win.
