Ap3x Gaming Ranked 5's Team Looking for All Roles

Udyr ~ Ap3x Gaming ~ Foreword I guess these posts generally begin with accreditation, so here's a word of backstory. I've played League on and off since its public release. I ran a gaming clan called Ap3x Gaming before conflicting life events led me to focus on other matters. Now that I have time to give again, I'd like to put together two ranked 5's teams. I'm looking for a total of 10 members. The purpose of this is to have at least one team that can seriously compete, with plenty of back up positions and fill-ins for potential tournaments and such. Ideally, there will be two full competitive teams where everyone gets a chance to play competitively, and both teams are never short of scrim partners. Life tends to not work out as smoothly but plan for the worst, hope for the best.

The highest solo que rating I've ever personally achieved was Plat 2 before I stopped playing for many months. Several years ago when I had a 5's team for a month although we only played around 20 games together we were able to achieve Gold 1. After playing for such a long period of time I have an understanding of the factors that contribute to victory. League is a very knowledge based game and as this is one of my greatest assets, I tend to excel in the role of Jungler. That being said I have a support that I've duo qued with since I started and would very much prefer to play adc.

Why you might consider joining I play this game because I seek out challenges and enjoy finding the best ways to overcome them. I play to best my opponent and learn more about the facets of the game, my satisfaction comes from self improvement more than it does from seeing the words "Victory" at the end of the game. I would love to play with a group of people who have a similar mindset. I'm not interested in teammates who rage, place blame, or make excuses for themselves. If you are that concerned with being judged about your play then this team is not right for you. Criticism is welcome AFTER the game, especially if it is constructive and has strong logical support. If you are also a player who isn't able to give advice or be honest about your own short comings then this team is probably not right for you. The environment is always friendly when we're working together to improve. The OTHER team is the enemy at all times (this fact makes for competitive motivation but it should never provoke lack of respect). This seems a bit "over the top" in words, but this applies mainly when we're playing and practicing with intent. There will be plenty of time to mess around with each other and the enemy team, but recognize when that mood might interfere with serious play. If you have the attention span to read for this long, and find yourself nodding to what I'm preaching, then you will probably mesh with all of the people interested in joining this team. What to expect I'm hoping to have team practice 3-5 nights a week (East Coast Time). Practice includes meeting up on Skype to talk about strategy, implementing those strategies in ranked matches, reviewing the game's afterwards (each player will make notes of someone else on the team) and giving constructive criticism. Defining everyone's roles and figuring out generally how to work together and achieve our goals. I'm looking to achieve at the very least upper platinum after playing together for a while, and would love to experience going beyond that and even trying our hand at playing competitive tournaments. **How to Apply ** Respond to this post with a few thoughts about what you read. Add me in game and message me with your Skype name. You'll be quickly put through try-outs and notified if you made the team by the end of the week. Thank you for taking the time to read this post. Hope to play with you all soon :) - Ap3x

It seems like you are a reasonable and knowledgeable lol enthusiast and I'd love to be a part of what you are putting together. I live in cst, I'd be up for 4 or so days of practice, talking strats, and working on helping each other become more efficient players. The highest I've gone in solo q is Gold 3. I'm currently Gold 5. I'm a top main who plays a bit of everything. Would be happy to tryout and look forward to hearing from you.

Roles: Main Support Top 5 champs: Naut, Leo, Braum, Sona, Thresh Rank: Gold 2 Skype: Lilsci Looking for a reliable team that is willing to practice during the week and not fall apart in like 2 days. I'm competitive but also very chill and I really enjoy keeping my adc safe and also initiating team fights if I see someone caught out. I really liked your original post that took thought and dedication. I think I would be a good match for one of your teams.

Your post seems like you are pretty passionate about the game. The enthusiasm you have does seriously interest me in what you're trying to get together. I recently moved, so I no longer have a job and have plenty of free time. I live in the west coast, so not sure if that conflicts with the training schedules, but we'll see how that works when we get to it. I was part of a diamond team 3 years ago myself so I know how to maintain myself when things get hectic and to take constructive criticism. I will say however that I do not enjoy playing with ragers or toxic players and have very little tolerence when it comes to someone who can't maintain they're cool. I understand that the game can be frustrating, but that should be no excuse to curse out a teamate or begin to feed. I'm currently (and been for a while) a Solo-qeue gold player, and completely understand if that ranking is too low for what you're looking for. To not make this too long, I'm very interested in joining and am looking forward to it if you'll have me =) Regardless, good luck in your future matches on the fields of justice. What you wrote means to me: Is that If I am looking to play with a team then the kind of quality team players I will have are ones that are mature, will not rage quit, will work together to improve, as well as giving positive criticism after matches. I personally want these ideal things. I am not perfect I have my flaws, but I consider myself a good team player.

Age: 24 IGN: Draslord Role: Support Champions: Annie Braum Janna Nautilus Morgana Lux Nami Sona TahmKench Alistar Play style: Passive / Aggressive. It depends on items, if they are pushing, zoning, etc. Solo rank(if applicable) minimum is S5: Gold 5. Programs used: Curse Voice, Teamspeak3, Skype Any the best/worst part of your ability:

Cons:

  • Warding deep alone

Pros:

  • Giving/accepting positive criticism from teammates based on mistakes, and things to improve on.
  • Vision control (maintaining vision, pink wards).
  • Actively communicating on enemy movements.
  • Experience in playing ESL tournaments

Hi Apex. This sounds like something I have been looking for to join. I am looking to play with people that are looking to improve and get better as a team. I have great map awareness and try to feed as much information to the laners as possible so we can take objectives.

I would like to apply for JunglerVolibear Vi Shyvana Hecarim Gragas RekSai Maokai Olaf XinZhao JarvanIV MonkeyKing XinZhao Sejuani

I am currently s3 (climbing fast. I am going to try and get gold 5 before this season ends)

I live on the east coast and i play League every night after work.

I have Skype and Team speak3 ( i am new to team speak and it takes me a few minutes to not hit the X in the top right corner :)

I look forward to hearing from you.

Take it easy.

I really appreciate the thought out responses, it's refreshing to find people who are interested in a type of philosophy that transcends the game.I'll do my best to work everyone into tryouts in the next few days :)

Ymír10/15/2015, 9:07:04 PM1 votes

I've added you in game, I'll message u my skype there once you've accepted.

I main supports (Sona, Zyra, and Leona being my top three --- I am still working on getting a handle on thresh because he's scary af in lane). I am currently ranked Silver 2---having come back from a break myself I am a little out of it but I am willing to work on improving. Other randoms facts...I'm 20 and live on the east coast as well and will be pretty available for the most part.

**Pros: **- Generally laid back---really hard for me to get to the point of raging

  • I practice a lot, if communicating (usually over skype) with the ADC I lane with we usually win our lane
  • I'm OCD about wards
  • I'm intelligent, If I wasn't devoting time to playing league I probably could've cured cancer by now
  • I'm also funny (see above) or try to be...it keeps things less stressful
  • I'm willing to accept responsibility if I messed up (miscalculated a play) rather than try to blame it on others **Cons: **- I have a bad case of trigger fingers if I get caught out (rarely happens)...and you'll probably be too busy laughing at me the few times it happens to get upset
  • I'm pretty bad at pointing out my flaws (partially because I have virtually none...again kidding)
  • I'm sarcastic a lot butttttttttttttt I promise I'm friendly
dudehacker10/15/2015, 11:31:54 PM1 votes

yes finally a serious team, I would like to join assuming everyone is as serious as I am. Playing as a team is totally on another level compared to solo Q and is much more fun and challenging. Im willing to do my best to grow both as a person and as a player with the team.

Im available almost every night, time zone : EST

my role is support main, I have a huge poll of support champs, could also fill as adc climbed solo Q mainly with support since season 2. Didn't have much experience with team since it never last more than 1 month and people leave

Ranked: plat 1, 99 LP right now, Diamond 5 for season 4

I have skype, curse , teamspeak

I am a team player. I will not rage and will follow all calls and make calls if needed. I am a perfectionist. If I fuck up you can be damn sure I realize it and will fix it. I am dedicated. If you choose me I will be on time for practice and won't abandon you. I am competitive. I need to win, and to win I need to improve myself.

I really think you have a good thing going on here. I have tried and tried my damn hardest to put together a working team but the dedication from other members was never enough and they bailed. When I play ranked 5's I normally try for 4-5 nights a week for a minimum of 3 hours per session. I strive to improve at whatever I do and it looks to me that you do as well. I do very well in a competitive environment and ranked 5's gives me that outlet for competition. I will be adding you in game to hopefully talk a good bit more.
