Hey,
I would highly advise against your plans. Playing with people far above your current skill level will not help you improve much. They won't show you better mechanics, are not needed to gain game knowledge, and won't show you what proper decision making means.
You acquire mechanics through deliberate practice. Play a champion, always keep in mind what you want to execute better, and do it. No challenger player will fix your mechanics. Which by the way are the most common problem for SIlver players. I was there, too some tome ago. And I have to say, the problem of many silver players is, that they do know what they want to do, they simply can'T execute it 100% of the time.
On the other hand, a higher ranked player could provide you with game knowledge. But tbh, just start being interested in the game beyond your role and champions, and knowledge will come. Things like timing cooldowns, knowing when to countergank, predicting enemy warding. If you play attention to those things, you will have this knowledge intuitively at some point. I never "learned" any cooldowns, but for most champions I simply have a gut feeling now, when something is back up. - this comes with time and paying attention.
The last thing is decision making. This is the most volatile trait of skill. You can't learn it by simply remembering some "when A, then B" formulas. Decision making needs to come intuitively, paired with basic knowledge, which you should already have. Play a few 100 games more, and there will come the point, where out of nowhere the "Let's do Baron at 17 min " comes to your mind, you will look at the map and realize, that your intuition is really telling you the right thing.
You don't need other players to improve yourself. You need patience, practice and serious interest in the game and all it's aspects. So go ahead, keep imroving. : )
