Dynamic Queue and Climbing the ladder.

Because of this new Dynamic queue system I've realized it can be rather difficult to rank up and climb. My current status is Gold 3, I've reached Gold 1 several times but can't seem to stay there. I've noticed that the greatest factor in all of this is inconsistency with players, on several different occasions I have lost promotion series or have gotten demoted due to an afk or just plain old troll. So I have decided that pretty soon here I will create my own team to climb with, and I would like some general opinions. First question: how many people should I queue up with, what has the best success rate? Second question: Considering a team is built, what kind of strategies work best; Wombo's, split pushes, etc... Any help would be appreciated
