KWU Esports has 20 scholarships available ranging from $5,000 to $20,000!

Kansas Wesleyan University Esports STRIVES to provide a home for the student that might not otherwise be engaged in on-campus activities, so that gamers can find meaningful involvement while making friends, building relationships and competing on a collegiate level. As of November 2016, the esports team is offering scholarships for League of Legends, Overwatch, Rocket League, and Smash Bros!

Founded in the fall of 2015, the esports team now has a roster of 10 members varying in a variety of academic disciplines ranging from Computer Science to Biochemistry!

KWU esports players have their own private gaming arena—Peters Science Hall Room 238—stocked with 11 state of the art PCs from our sponsor iBuyPower, High end gaming chairs from Vertagear, top of the line peripherals from Steel Series and ASUS ROG. We also offer 1 on 1 coaching as well as Twitch Partnership streaming opportunity as we have an official team with Twitch! [(https://www.twitch. tv/team/kwuesports)]

The main game the team focuses on is League of Legends, but the team competes in collegiate Overwatch, Rocket League and Hearthstone as well. In fall 2015, Kansas Wesleyan University was accepted as an official League of Legends team by Riot Games.

KWU was among the 729 teams that signed up in 2016 with the Collegiate Star League for online intercollegiate team competition playing League of Legends.

Ending with a 7-2 record last season.
