Summoner Name: NeoLectra
To save you the effort: http://www.lolking.net/summoner/na/43997602 (The stats don't lie; and in fact will only edify what I say in "Tier/Division" section). The line graph will prove my "afk" from the game. :(
Age: 25
Tier/Division: Silver II (Please don't over-look me just because of this.) I've been playing for 5 years and 3 years ranked. I was Gold III last Season but then family/life stuff happened and had to stop playing so I missed out on a lot of Season 5 and dropped because of it. Since then, I've been back at it and swinging harder than ever.
Position: ADC/Supp Main (I say both because I believe it requires the ability to play both to know the lane best).
Main Champion: Lucian, Miss Fortune, Caitlyn, Sivir (I separated ADs from Support. Not saying I main ADC more than Support).
Secondary Champions: Nami, Thresh, Morgana, Nautilus, Leona, Annie, Sona (These are in no real particular order. I feel strong on each one of them).
Just don't make me play Blitzcrank. Not because I can't play him, but... That's just wrong. I know what it feels like to play ADC against a Blitz... I have a heart for competition and fair-play. If I wanted to snowball or starfruit a lane that hard, I'd rather play Zyra or Brand. At least then it'd be on their behalf for engaging and not on me for yanking them out from under their tower.
Why do you want to join the team? I practice everyday and even run drills in Customs to really focus in on improving my early-game. Have you tried last-hitting with Thresh with E-Passive down? Better off running Coin imo. Before I get carried away in why I want to join the team, I would rather start with having a chance to prove myself and then discuss joining the team. However, to answer directly, I want to join the team because I'm a dedicated player and I feel I deserve a shot to prove my efforts. If I may be blunt, I'm not one who believes that just because I'm Support, it's my duty to baby-sit the bush. I go for harass at appropriate times (ie. to force the enemy adc to miss cannon or the enemy support is obviously playing a bit too antsy). I feel the Support is more of the counter-part to the Jungle than it is to the ADC. Don't get me wrong in this, early game/lane phase, Absolutely. You better believe I'm right there trying to get you fed; however, come mid-game, I'm out with the Jungler helping them secure gank paths and securing objectives/buffs and helping the team look for picks as well as making certain pushing the inner tower is a safe call. I roam when able, I go for deep vision when it's appropriate. The same could be said in a defensive manner as well in regards to a losing lane. Let's just say I know better than to sit in a lane that lost first tower while the ADC is obviously safe farming at inner tower. I'm very objective-oriented and always flexible in my Champ Select to pick a Support that not just suitable for my ADC but also for the team. Are we lacking in CC? Are we lacking in AP? Do we need Sustain or Beef? These are the things I focus in on during Champ Select. Just because I play a mean Nami, doesn't mean she's always the best pick. I currently am unemployed; however, I'm taking this as an opportunity instead of a defeat to give my gaming abilities their fullest potential to see if I really do have what it takes to "go pro" and turn this into a Career. I treat this not as just a hobby or a way to pass the time. I work hard and play harder while trying to keep a positive atmosphere in game.
What do you feel you bring to the team? Well, I kind of put it all into the last question, but to keep it simple for this question: A Solid Support that's capable of shot-calling as well as following calls. Dedicated player going on several years (apart from the few months of hiatus due to recent events. Might I add that even during this time of not playing, I still remained a Stream watcher / LCS Fan.) One who knows the limitations of each ADC/Support match-up. If the Jungler makes a call, I go with it and make certain we have proper vision control. Strong communication skills and the ability to ping just once, not ten times. o.e
List off a known weakness you'd like to improve on: Early game roams are probably my most known weakness. I really care for my ADC a bit too much because I know what it feels like to be alone in bot-lane as an ADC. You never know when a wild Rengar may appear. I feel I'm stronger at this in Support than I am at ADC but it would be Map Awareness & Tunneling in on lane. As Support, I'm constantly watching both the mini-map and the lane, but as ADC, Idunno... I guess I get a little relaxed and focus harder on farming and harassing properly. Probably because I play more Support than ADC? Also, I'm always willing to take advice and talking after matches on how it could have been better (win or loss). I run LSI in the background and am always watching replays to see my mistakes even if they weren't "game-changing" errors... An error is an error. I think that's more of a strength than weakness though... .-. [insert Star....(nope, not yet)]. Oh, and I have never had a Star Fruit. On a serious note, I watch the LCS a lot and I'm down for a 2v1 lane swap but I never have to opportunity in Solo Que so I have no idea what it'd actually be like. I listen, I speak and I speak and I listen. Getting my point across, I have ears to hear and a mouth to respond as long as you have the same because if what I say isn't being heard than what's the point of me listening in the first place? :)
Prior Team Experience: I attempted to start-up a team last Season but communication was a big issue within a couple of the members so I just went back to Solo/Duo Que. I probably had a better shot at discovering star fruits then.
Availability: All day, every day (including holidays and weekends). I typically play later in the afternoon/evening into the late night/early morning... Seems to be a lot less trolls roaming at night. As mentioned above, unemployed doesn't mean I'm sitting around playing a video game. League of Legends has been here for 5 years of my life and I feel it's earned the right to deserve my attempt at becoming a professional gamer. It's the only game I play and when I'm not playing, I'm watching Live Streams, the LCS videos (even rewatching matches), and always going to YouTube to further my insight into the understanding of mechanics and mind/psychology of the game. I'm a firm believer in the tactics/strategies of League. I don't believe just because bot lane won the lane that it automatically means we win the game (most times, yes). I'd rather play on a team that's able to communicate than to waste countless hours in Solo Que trying to further advance my LP. To have a solid ADC in Duo Que to practice with would be another thing; however, I'm tired of having "teams" that don't communicate or would rather flame chat and accomplish nothing except decreasing my status.
Clear microphone with minimal background noise: After doing some research on Star Fruit, I feel as if I need to bring this into my diet. It seems to be as vitally important as a Support is for an ADC. And yes, I have a mic but I'm uncertain about the "background noise." If awesome EDM playing in the background is considered "noise" than yes. ;)
I feel I deserve a shot but ultimately, it's not up to me. I made the effort and that's all I ever do. I always keep trying and never give up.
Chosen to be apart of this opportunity or not, I truly hope the best for the team in all the endeavors that lay ahead. Keep focused and stay positive. I hope to see you guys on the stage bringing home the Victory screens.
