Champions Circuit Looking for Teams to Participate!

We would like to introduce to you an opportunity to get involved in a competitive tournament much similar in format to the LCS. We’ve created a league that will bring a new level competition, and community to the amateur league scene. With a 9 week long season that consists of a double round robin, we’ll have action packed games shoutcasted to you every Saturday and Sunday.

However entrance won’t be as simple as signing up for the league. To participate in our “Challenger League” you and your team will have to go through a swiss tournament, if you don’t know what that is we explained it here.

We want to achieve the highest level of competition in our Challenger League. To create an incentive for this, most of our early resources will go to towards the Challenger League, like streaming and shoutcasting games, providing stats and other content. After the first swiss tournament, entry to the Challenger League becomes limited to either being picked up by one of the teams or through the promotion series by being the top 3 in our other league, called the Master League.

The Master league holds 16 teams and has a little bit of a different format. To gain entrance to the Master League you need to place 11-26th from the original swiss tournament, and later on you must qualify through our other “Tournament League” which mocks the ranked 5’s ladder. The top 4 Tournament League teams have the ability to gain entrance into the Master League. Playing games in the Tournament League is very simple, you just need your 5’s team registered and another team to play, and then submit the match history link. The Tournament League also has a solo queue ladder, where 10 players can meet up and play a game, and submit it in a similar fashion.

Challenger and Master league games are played on a schedule on certain days (Saturdays/Sundays) with the ability to reschedule to another day if it is OK with both teams, but may lose the ability to have the game streamed.

Now you may be thinking "My silver friends and I would like to play in such a tournament, but I don't want to go up against diamonds and get beat", well, we plan on making a gold an under tournament soon after our first swiss tournament so nobody gets left out!

Later on as we expand we would like to be able to prize our leagues, create tournaments for other games, expand on our teamspeak and overall make the experience better for the players. Our admins are dedicated to the player base and have the dream of making this work. We have taken precautions and have had experience in working in this setting, and would like to promise you a league that is unbiased (admins cannot play in leagues for prizes) and one that won’t fall short of expectations.

So we would like to invite you over at our subreddit to come play with us and create a competitive community that has it’s perks with semi-competitive alternatives and a way to take a break from the solo queue grind. You can sign-up as a team of 5 (potentially more because subs are allowed), by yourself as a free agent and hope to get picked up a team, or captain a team and round up the free agents. Our qualifying swiss tournament begins January 9th, and sign-ups end on January 2nd to give people time to find teams in our community games.

Hope to see you all in teamspeak or in the league chat!
