Looking to start a real professional team. In it for the long haul. (Houston, TX ONLY)
This is not an official recruitment post just yet; however, I am willing to look at applicants that fit my current criteria. I still have a lot to set up before I am ready to take on members. I am posting this trying to get a feel for the gaming community in the area I want to set up camp.
As it says in the title I am looking to only recruit SERIOUS players in the Houston, TX area. I am not sure if this plan will work until I see the amount of interest for eSports in Houston. If not I will have to broaden my search for players that are willing to put in the time and work it takes to become something in the eSports scene.
My current requirements are:
- 18+
- Living in Houston, TX area
- Long time LoL player (at least one year under their belt)
- Gold +
- Ability to work a job (just as I do) in order to actually pay for expenses (The hope is to become profitable within a year through varying business strategy's)
- Ability to show up to all team practices and tournaments
- Drive to learn anything and everything needed to help the success of Force of Nature Gaming (this means having a strong online presence among other things)
- Good attitude
- An understanding that success comes out of learning form failure
- Want for a brotherhood
I will not be playing on the team (maybe as an alternate to begin with). My main goal is to create a successful business that will grow eSports in my area and help the city become something more than it currently is.
I am currently, and plan to continue to be, the only one working on graphics, information, marketing, etc. until I have the ability to hire on people that can focus on those aspects of the business.
My goal is to have the organization grow into a profitable business within a year of creating a strong team of players. This will not be easy to achieve and will require insane amounts of focus and effort from every member of the organization. These are big dreams, but I am willing to put in all of the work needed to complete the task.
If you really are interested go to this page, look at the information and fill out the application.
