Hey all,

I am an unranked ADC main and am looking for some advice. Advice that is better than the generic advice to just play adc. I already know most of it but I think that things I would've never thought of would be helpful. So comment on here or add me in game my ign is Harmony Giant.

Thank you, Harmony Giant

There are only a things you need to focus on to survive early game and get to the easy part (late game) as an adc

  1. Don't die.

Obvious I know, but even when obvious, far too many people die before the 10 minute mark. If you can last until then without dying then you are playing your lane correctly. There are rare situations when this its okay to die, very rare. This rule is so important so so so very important.

  1. Last hit

CS, Farm, Last hitting. The 2nd most important thing you can do (second to staying alive). Melee Minions can take 2 hits from a tower and then your AA (auto attack) Caster Minions require one AA, one tower hit, one AA CS is far more important than kills, if you can get a kill take it but if you are focusing on kills so heavily that you are behind 30cs you will hurt later in the game.

  1. Understand your support

An adc heavily relies on their support to do well in lane. Understand the synergy between you and your support, understand their weaknesses and strengths. This also applies to the enemy team. If you are Kog'Maw and Sona vs Corki and Leona, you will want to avoid fighting AT ALL COSTS. This goes back to rule #1: Don't die.

  1. Runes

Your runes play a big role in your early game. Getting a bonus 8-15 ad from the start helps a lot when farming. (AD Reds/Quints). Armor Quints and typically Mr Per Lv Blues.

  1. "I am behind"

If you die first in lane there is a 99% chance you are officially behind, don't let your pride swell up saying "he just got lucky, it won't happen again". If you think that way it WILL happen that way again. If they are zoning you (not letting you cs) let them zone you and politely ask your jungler for a gank, nobody wants to gank for a whiny bitch. Staying alive is more important than farming remember that. You can farm later, you can't take back a death.

I hope you use this well

I don't know why all bullet points came out as "1."

Hey, I'm a adc main for over a year now and have many many games on adc playing with people in the 2000+ elo bracket. I'll be glad to help you out in learning this role. If you want we can 1v1 or play normal's and I can support you or just skype and you can ask me questions about adc match ups and situations. I added you in game so just message me if any of those things interests you.

The best thing to know is don't stop moving. Always attack move and positioning is a huge factor into adc. For example, if you're getting dragon make sure you stand on the warded side of the map not by darkness. There's tons of other information about adcing and if you ever have any questions of concerns feel free to ask! The biggest thing is DON'T GIVE UP!

I am by no means an adc main or even play bot lane in general ( in fact I tend to ignore bot lane if given a choice) BUT, I have learned most of my in game knowledge from watching LCS and streamers play, less listening to them talk , more watching what they do. For ADC I know Geranimo is always talking about situations and matchups which should be really informative, Gosu is another dude with crazy mechanics. The best advice has pretty much already been given out, it all comes down to positioning(IMO), positioning will keep you alive, positioning will help you be in"position" to cs well and to not get ganked. Learn your pool, Jinx , Vayne, Kalista are all top 3 adcs and if I can play them at a competent level , anyone can lol :)
