The teams with the worst 2 regular season records will not qualify for the playoffs and will be placed in one of two categories depending on position. These categories are: Safe Zone – Which will be a neutral zone where teams do not qualify for playoffs but do qualify for NCL Season Two, which will happen sometime later in 2017, this will be for the 7th seed team. Relegation – This will be for the 8th seed team. In order to requalify for NCL Season Two they will have to win a 16 team tournament.

There will be a roster check each week where every team must have their roster locked in by the Thursday before competing. We will allow pre-sub information, so if one person will start one day and another person will start the other day, in these roster checks. A Black-Listed player can be marked by any team who the player has played for and made some sort of negative offense causing the player to be dropped from that team, the length of the player's time on the Black-List shall depend on the offense(s). However for any unmarked sub or Black-Listed player that plays in a game you will lose bans in this fashion: For 1 unmarked sub you shall lose 1 ban. For 2-3 unmarked subs you shall lose 2 bans. For 4-5 unmarked subs you shall lose 3 bans. For playing a Black-Listed player you shall lose 3 bans regardless of being a starter or sub.
Any toxic offenses in the NCL can lead to the League forcing the following actions depending on the offense. These include Black-Listing, Suspension, and Banning which can affect individual players, casters, and team owners.
Team syndication is not allowed in the NCL, this means that multiple teams cannot be owned by.the same person or organization, this only applies to League of Legends cross-game team syndication is allowed, such as organizations like Fnatic. Players are also limited to one team.
