Diamond 5+ team looking for Plat+ coach!

TMG Big Cone··1 votes·150 views

Hey guys, a new Diamond 5+ team I am forming( I am the general manager of the team) is looking for a Platinum+(if not Plat, please be extremely experienced) head coach. We have 2 analysts and a Platinum 4 assistant coach, but we need someone with the game knowledge and leadership skills to join our team and lead our team to improve and general growth as a team. We are looking for a coach who understands that players can get frustrated, and as coach you must be able to mediate and lead to discussions and arguments. Adequate game knowledge is required, and basic communication software (discord,skype,ts3), the ability to communicate your ideas clearly to teammates, a basic knowledge of spreadsheets, and time to dedicate to the team. If you are interested in joining our team as head coach, or if you are interested in joining as another position in the coaching staff, please add me in game @Cone or reply in the comments below.

What exactly does a coach do? I may have the wrong idea since I don't understand why a diamond team would be requesting a plat+ coach instead of a higher rank requirement.

A coach(and coaching staff in general) helps the players improve by going over replays with the players. Generally speaking, coaches may be lower ranked(platinum for a diamond team), but have an extremely adequate amount of game knowledge, and therefore able to lead discussions about what the team can do in games and help the team improve. It is also good to have an unbiased opinion in team arguments, and lead the team in the right way. The way I think of it, while LCS players are the most mechanically skilled players, coaches have great game knowledge. NBA players are better at basketball than their coaches, but the coaches know what the players should be doing. Hope I helped!
