Tristana's New Jokes (Grammar Issue)

Didn't know if this fit better in "Sound & Music" or "Report a Bug," but given that the only "bugging" it does is bugging my inner Grammar Nazi™, I'm going with S&M.

One of Tristana's new joke quotes is "Please allow my cannon and I to conflict resolve." It should be "my cannon and me" as they're both direct objects of the verb "allow."

Hopefully not a big issue to record a new line and replace it (I forgot to look and see if her face is animated to say those exact words, but that'd certainly complicate things). I know it's a bit nit-picky, but I'm sure others have noticed.

Her new voice is a bit jarring, as I wasn't expecting it (I thought it was purely a visual rework), but it's growing on me pretty quickly. Thanks, Riot!

It is very possible that they allowed the grammar mistake to bypass, so the line can flow easily. This is not to say that "my cannon and me", "me and my cannon", or "my cannon and I" is wrong or right, but it is about how people typically speak. All of us do not have perfect grammar, my friend.

Incorrect use of subject pronouns rather than object pronouns after transitive verbs (like "allow") occurs when someone tries to overcompensate for the mistakes people normally make in casual spoken language (in which cases one could argue that if it's what people who speak the language normally do, then it's not really possible to say it's incorrect). This happens because well-meaning school teachers told us that "me and my friend" is wrong and it should be "my friend and I" but they tend to focus on the word order issue - that it's "courteous" to mention the other person first and then oneself, which then tricks students into also believing that the difference between "I" and "me" is a matter of courtesy and etiquette rather than subjects vs. objects.

So, when the error is a failed attempt to avoid another error, I would say it really is a mistake. While something like "Me and Teemo are going to get Veigar", on the other hand, would be more colloquial than actually incorrect.
