Rotating game mode queue now live!

From the original clone-tastic One For All to the sand-strewn battlefield of Ascension, rotating game modes provide unique spins on the classic League formula. It’s time to kick things off with the next game mode in the rotation: Hexakill: Twisted Treeline is now live!

For a refresher on the mode, let’s go over the basics:

  • It’s Twisted Treeline, so there are altars to capture and a nexus to explodify.
  • It’s Hexakill. So there are six champs on your team instead of three.

As in any rotating queue game mode, we’ve specially tuned Champion Mastery so you can earn points in the mode. You’ll also be able to earn keys for your wins and loot chests for your (or your premade’s) S­-, S, and S+ games.

Hexakill: Twisted Treeline is now available and lasts through the evening on Monday (we’ll shut it down very early Tuesday morning--usually between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM).

We’re looking for your feedback as we go, so let us know. GLHF, and we’ll bring a sixth man alongside you in the Twisted Treeline this weekend.

This is getting ridiculous... All we want to do is play URF for a weekend every now and then, but you refuse to let us. We have no problem with it being a rotating queue, we have no problem waiting 1-2 months for it to return, but we DO have a problem with it being part of the rotation at the beginning and then being removed without being given a reason as to why, that is uncalled for and very frustrating to many individuals such as myself who love URF. We understand that URF gets old after a few days (for some people) but that's no excuse to remove it completely, just let us have our URF weekends back so we can have some URFF (Ultra Rapid Fire Fun).

Or make it a custom game mode, that would work too.

I, and I'm sure many others just are more disappointed and frustrated with the rotating game mode queue at this point. We were extremely happy to hear we would be able to play the game modes we LOVE ( NOT HEXAKILL for example ) more often. But the game mode hype has died very much I feel like... Queue's always take longer now, and it just seems the majority of people ( I also take mini-polls in games because that sort of stuff interests me ) and nearly everyone has said the same thing I just said. Please do something. WE LOVE URF, and y'all know that. So help us out.

Where the heck is URF? At least swap that trash Poro King with URF. No one cares about Poro King. There is literally no difference between Aram and Poro King other than that fat ugly white mexicano thing. GIVE US URF! LET US HAVE SOME FUN!

Riot, can we please get URF back. You did say you wanted to fairly rotate the gamemodes. Also, Listening to the players is a great way to keep the community active and to stay loyal to the game."cough overwatch players increasing"[slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

why the hell is poro king still here but URF isnt???? I mean honestly... Who even likes poro king? Its literally just ARAM with a giant poro that you can teleport to.

Riots logic: "Lets put in a stupid game mode that almost nobody likes in the rotating game mode queue, but keep out the one that almost everyone loves! That'll sure please the community!"

Crazy that we get Hexakill and One For All around once per month, yet the game mode that everyone wants has yet to make a return since the first weekend that mastery 6 and 7 was introduced.

You know, it would be nice if there's some sort of explanation as to why URF is no longer in the rotation queue. I know, I know, you guys did say it would only appear twice this year, "at least", but was there a reason you guys had to use those two already at the start of the rotation queue and not spread both out through the rest of the year evenly?

Poro King is literally just ARAM w/o the AR... most boring gamemode... can we get Bilgewater stuff that was fun

Why is one for all back? It was here 2 weeks ago. Though I really like this game mode (my second favorite mode), I want to see the game modes that we all want (cough cough... URF). Also with the nexus seige gamemode. I played a few games of it, and it wasnt very fun. It was just released like last month and it will be here for 3 weeks in 2 months. I dont want it back that quickly. I just want everyone's favorites, such as Doom bots and Urf coming back more frequently (if at all as it seems). Please Riot. I know you guys read at least some of these posts, so just listen to us. No one wants hexakill, nexus seige, or anything else compared to how much we want urf. Also, I have one more thing. Make hexakill on Summoner's Rift. A map made for 6 people isnt fun when it has 12. It is too cluttered and boring af. Make it on SR please.

Normally i come to these posts to see what the community says but today i had to comment i understand that you guys are a company and you guys like to stick to what works because of the amount of people who play this game BUT i don't see why URF isn't a custom game mode i get you want people to play ranked and play together and enjoy your game not the specific mode but you guys have to be able to see the numbers when that game mode runs back into the rotations i know several people who hate to play all the time but the second it come on they buy new skins and play URF it has to be such a great boom in purchases of micro transactions i understand it would take a bunch of people out of normal servers but the repercussions is more people join the game more money from us to you and even the community BLOWS up about it i get again you are a company but don't you guys want to make the people who play your game Happy. i just had to throw in my 2 cents.

I like how everyone keeps saying Rito has forgotten about URF, but remember, URF used to be once a year, for about two days. We've already gotten a lot more URF this year then we used to.

I don't know if any of the people asking for urf realizes this but urf is supposed to be a SPECIAL game mode. Not one that riot throws around every month. So around times such as Xmas they will put it out. But not now because no holidays are around now.
