Rift Rivals Hits the Rift

Regions across the world will take on their fiercest rivals for bragging rights, pride and eternal (until next year) glory during the first ever Rift Rivals. Show your support for these regional grudge matches by purchasing a Rift Rivals icon for 1 IP in the store. If your home region comes out on top, you’ll also be awarded an exclusive, gilded event icon.


The five regional Rift Rivals icons will be available in the store from June 29 at 7:00 AM PT (July 3 in China) until July 11 at 7:00 AM PT.

Every player in a winning region who equips any Rift Rivals icon and plays a game by the end of the tournament will also receive an exclusive, gilded winners’ icon to commemorate the victory. This icon will be delivered directly to each player’s account within two weeks of the end of the tournament.

Just checked; there is no 1 IP icon up in the store currently.

So if I'm understanding this correct being from NA I will only get the winner's icon if NA wins in EU vs NA right?

And I won't get the winner's icon if I buy the rift rival icon for another region's match up.

What are the chances that NA can actually beat EU though. OR what are the chances that TSM can beat G2.

Can you somehow make it so that you can actually TELL which icon is for which regions? Cause after you buy the icons, there is no quick and easy way of finding out which icon is which region. They all look the exact same, and I highly doubt any of us actually remembers which colour is for which region. The only way that I know of to check is to go back to this page, or go to your store, checkmark the show owned icons, and look from there.

I root for the EU LCS over the NA LCS, despite living in NA. Is there a way for me to get a gilded event icon if the EU LCS wins?

So, can I buy multiple (one for looks and one for my region) or will I be blocked from buying any others once I buy one? Figured I'd ask beforehand just in case I can only buy one and I find out the hard way.
