Riot knows how much we love the current lore and would not "destroy" it without good reason. I have very high hopes for where this is all heading.

SoldierRay54 votesI really like the new mode, its good to see that they made the crystal scar into something people play again (I was once an avid crystal scar player, it kept me from stop playing league cause normals at lower levels take a long time). I hope they keep it and add into the crystal scar stats. It would be nicer to have more shorter game modes (for those of us with limited time) or larger game modes with more people.
Also, I would like to see more icons associated with hard to do in-game objectives like a perfect game for Rift where you lose no towers, no dragon, no baron, and keep at least a 1:1 KDA ratio.
As far as the lore, personally I like the new lore but I would still like to see some elements of the old lore (being an older player). I don't get why they can't tie it into the "league". Or it would be nice if they a can make a historical chronicle section for the old lore (just to go back and enjoy the old stories). On a positive note I am excited to see what they do and add more of a story/personality to the characters as well as see where they delve further into the world.

, he has a decent escape potential if you're not too aggressive, he can all in decently, his wall puts 
's to shame with a speed buff added in, and he'd be cute in teamfights. The only issue i can see is him not really being able to help the adc too well with a shield or something, but then again if they get jumped on he can wall them away. so i could see it working.

ThaCobra5 votesI personally love the game mode, I do wish it was more kill oriented however. The relics are just worth so many points with fairly short re spawn times.
not a starburst2 votesI like the idea of a sort of juggernaut that people have to take down. I think this would fly really well as a sort of free-for-all king of the kill, where everyone tries to kill the Ascended and then try to keep Ascension as long as possible.
The problem with Ascension is that, as usual, certain champions are so strong (free heals? tough to chase? lots of burst? 
) that the meta just revolves around them and the game mode gets boring.
And then you've got this mode where being Ascended doesn't matter that much most of the time, unless you're someone like Akali or Nidalee, because everyone's just fighting over the relics. The relics basically become the game, and getting someone Ascended becomes a sort of nice extra sidequest you can do. It only helps you take relics, which are most of the points.
Might as well name it Scavenger Hunt.
General Keith1 votesI agree, I think it would be more fun if they created a permanent game mode (possibly in the Kumungu Jungles or Shurima) where it would be sort of like capture the flag. Almost a mixture of capturing relics and the ascended. but overall, I like the game mode, but it just got boring after you got the icons.
SPChocobo1 votesThe thought of a 6-10 person free-for-all with maybe a limited pool of champions sounds really cool. Perhaps having each person ban 1 champ at the beginning, then play? teamfights would be interesting. but it would be hardcore bruiser/obnoxiousness meta, at least until it stabilizes out.

I know you're highly capable of producing a well written story and you guys seem to have your hands full with pumping out Azir and his minions at the moment, so I get the feeling you've intentionally trolled us very well with the simplified "new" lore.
