The Festival Queen is here
And so the dancing may begin

Welcome, bird of paradise
Wings up! Wings up, up, up
Welcome, bright muse
Wings down, wings down, down, down

Thank you, Samba Queen
For letting us begin
Thank you, Samba Queen
You hatched the party from its egg.

Am I really the only one who's peeved at the use of flied over flew?

Nik NikersonFeb 25, 20172 votes

They do actually celebrate Carnival in Spanish speaking countries.

TrayvenFeb 26, 20172 votes

I'm from a Spanish speaking county (Puerto Rico), and moved to the US when I was around 10. I have visited the majority of countries in Latin America. The carnival that is being talked about here is the one in Brazil. The only Spanish speaking country that celebrates is Spain. No Spanish speaking country in Latin America celebrates it. It's another one of those big, costumed dance parties that Brazil is always throwing. If you ever get a chance, I highly recommend going.

Nik NikersonFeb 26, 20172 votes

Just going to leave this here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barranquilla's_Carnival

I recommend going if you get a chance. It's not as big as Rio, but it's still an amazing event.

KöniginDerNachtFeb 27, 20171 votes

Here you can see the list of all the countries that celebrate Carnival https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carnival

There are many Spanish speaking countries in Latin America that celebrate it...

LithliusMar 7, 20171 votes

Miss Schrecklick and dear mr ELPanaman YOUR ignorance made ME sign in. While they are called Carnival, thats just a denominatory name. They have similarities in the way they are celebrated BUT they are for the most part not on the same date, Therefor not the same festivity and they tend to have different background reasons for existing.

How Do You MetaFeb 23, 201723 votes

I hope they make more festival skins like this and also more cosmic skins like Kassadin's.

ITGlolFeb 23, 20174 votes

Yeah that skin is nice*[slayer-jinx-wink]*

RSoM LuckySheepFeb 24, 201712 votes

Day of the Dead Morgana. Please. And Kindred, since her voice actor is an amazing chicana.

Yue de BahamasFeb 24, 20171 votes

Yusss. I really hope Kindred's voice actor is a female because I, just love their voice @.@

RSoM LuckySheepFeb 24, 20172 votes

My understanding, it's Marcella Lentz-Pope & Matthew Mercer. Marcella does both English & Spanish voiceovers. Sounds like Matthew does also, but my ear could be mistaken.

VK GankFeb 24, 20174 votes

Dia De Los Muertos Morgana Y Kindred Porfavor

Lord ChiropteraFeb 24, 20172 votes

Oh hi. I didn't know you looked at the boards, too. Anywho, you're not allowed to give your opinion on Kindred anymore. If you had it your way, they'd get all the skins and nobody else would. XD

What a bout a Yasuo skin based of the legend of Zorro

Hunterpie79Feb 25, 20175 votes

Yes, more people playing Yasuo. Exactly what we needed.

[zombie-nunu-hearts] It could be his first 1820 skin [zombie-nunu-hearts]

DanTheKendoManFeb 27, 20171 votes

I think Bloodmoon should have been his 1820 skin. It's perfect on him.

Nik NikersonFeb 25, 20177 votes

I'd rather Fiora get that skin.

"After lots of talks between Riot teams in Brazil and the United States, we've released the newest culturally-inspired skin adapted for a global League of Legends audience: Festival Queen Anivia."

Uhh... You know, in Brazil, we speak Portuguese.

midnight oil24Feb 24, 20175 votes

What do you mean?

Peachy ZoefFeb 27, 20172 votes

Brazil was colonized by the Portuguese, so we don't speak Spanish. There are a few comments regarding Spanish and the skin, where that would be slightly inaccurate if the skin's inspiration was leaning towards Brazil. I'm just trying to help inform people.

midnight oil24Feb 27, 20171 votes

Oh, ok. That's interesting. Thanks for clearing that up!

DrCyanideFeb 24, 20174 votes

And...? How is that relevant to this skin at all? Does she not speak in Portuguese on the BR server?

Peachy ZoefFeb 27, 20171 votes

The skin concept was more towards Brazilian Carnaval festivals and there are some people referencing Spanish, which I believe only Spain celebrates something similar.

The Little HereoFeb 24, 20171 votes

Anivia [zombie-nunu-tears] I don't think the skin is 1500 ip. Sorry if I'm a dumbass but IF I'm wrong then u can correct me.

xCorahFeb 24, 20173 votes

That's the icon. It's available for 1500 for a little while.

Have you tried submitting a Support Ticket, or posting in Help & Support? With a Support Ticket you'll have a 100% chance of Riot Support getting back to you. Posting in Help & Support is iffy and even if you're responded to then you'll get redirected to the Support site in some cases (because the request cannot be handled directly over the Boards), but this sounds like something the Help & Support specialists can help you with. Another plus of Help & Support is that our helpful Boards members can help you and take some of the work off of Riot's busy support specialists. dArtagnan also posted an article, "Having issues Patching 7.4? Click Here!" Maybe that can solve your problems!
