The Rune Mage has re-emerged from his retreat to the PBE refreshed, reworked, and really, really balanced. He's ready to rip up the rift right now.

The Big Blue Ryze Bundle is available for 3414 RP (3570 RP if you haven't already unlocked the Rune Mage) beginning now through 23:59 PDT, July 20. The bundle includes:

Ryze
Tribal Ryze [LEGACY]
Uncle Ryze
Professor Ryze [LEGACY]
Zombie Ryze [LEGACY]
Dark Crystal Ryze
Pirate Ryze [LEGACY]
Ryze Whitebeard

All skins are available separately as well, but Ryze's four legacy skins are only warping into this realm for a short period—they go back into the vault at 23:59 PDT on August 13.

New Ryze has a good amount of potential and has a pretty good amount of skill involved with his kit. However, early game power kinda needs to get nerfed, especially when going against him as an early game, mana hungry champ such as Veigar .

His rune prison definitely needs more cd and mana cost early game, since spell flux has two second cd and overload has a reset. Rune prison early game should be used as an offensive/defensive tool at a critical moment and should have repercussions if used incorrectly. At level 3, he can just root, combo, retreat, twelve seconds later, repeat said process. Burst damage right now is too strong in his early game, a nerf in his W cooldown and mana cost should remedy this. Overall, nice rework!

SO unfortunate that Young Ryze / Triumphant are not in the bundle. I really wish I played in season 1 so I can get human. I have been waiting so long for this, it's unfortunate...

Thank you for the new update. Took out the soul of Ryze and totally revamped him into something new. At last I am free of League and finally am free from this addicting game. I can finally work on my life long dream of becoming a Pokemon Trainer. (RIP Ryze 7/13/06)

i don't understand how ryze is broken now... the champ was solid and balanced and now it's broken and useless. admittedly he has better waveclear now when the combo is done properly and timed right, but the fucking ult is the most useless piece of shit i've seen in league so far!
