Bloodharbor Medallions reveal one Bilgewater skin shard and another random skin shard. Bilgewater skins include:

Cursed Capsule

750 RP
Available until June 18, 2018, at 11:59 PM PT

Cursed Capsules include:

  • 1 Epic Skin Shard (or better)
  • 2 Random Skin Shards
  • 225 Orange Essence
  • 4% chance for a Bloodharbor Medallion
  • 2% chance for a Golden Kraken
  • Gemstone and Gemstone Skin drop rates multiplied by 1.5

All non-limited/non-Mythic skin shards have an equal chance of dropping.

With bad luck protection in play, gemstones drop at a rate of 5.4%, and you’ll never go more than 34 “chances” without getting a gemstone. There are three chances to score gemstones per Cursed Capsule.

Mythic skins have a 1 in 556 chance to drop from each Cursed Capsule.

Single capsule: 750 RP
Five capsules: 3750 RP (+ Bloodharbor Medallion)
10 capsules: 7500 RP (+ Golden Kraken)

Golden Kraken

Golden Krakens drop from Cursed Capsules or come with bundles of Capsules. They reveal:

  • One skin shard
  • One Legendary Skin Permanent
  • Loot from one Bloodharbor Medallion (one Bilgewater skin shard and one random skin shard)

Loot Gifting

Gift one Bloodharbor Medallion to receive an exclusive Pirate Poro summoner icon. This will appear in your inventory by July 2, 2018.

I've been loving how many events League has been having for awhile now to be honest. The introduction to Missions and how they've continued to evolve as well has been really interesting; the pathways easily let for all players to do them while giving an option for a more difficult path if you choose. The rewards are definitely enjoyable at the end of the day. (Although the Hextech Crafting system overall still could use some changes imo.)

I'm looking forward to this event and the fun things that should come with it. Patch 8.11 is gonna be an interesting one with the changes to both SR and ARAM. Looking forward to seeing the Bilgewater ARAM map again too. [sg-kiko]

So am I correct in reading the only way to get cursed capsules and/or medallions is to buy them with RP? That’s somewhat disappointing.

I would love it if getting chests meant more. All i ever get is champion shards from them. Talk about disappointment!

The missions list one of the rewards as a Masterwork Chest + Key, but there is no listed mission that provides such a reward. Is there a hidden mission for that, or was that reward accidentally listed?

So When is Riot going to add a feature to the Hextech Crafting system a button or hold shift to select all the champion shards or Skins you wanna turn into Essence? Sometimes I'd open a few boxes and I hate having to click one skin at a time to just turn to essence. Really sucks when you have all the champions and they give you a bunch of champion shards and have to click on them all one at a time waiting for the animation and everything.

Some preliminary feedback for this event

  • I love the idea of more skins offering chromas (many people like personalization or at least more customization) This helps Rito make money and IMO makes players happy.

  • Dark Waters Vlad is awesome! HYPE

  • Thank you for making the Masterwork set, emote, and ward skin available for FREE by playing the event. This gives players opportunity to 'earn' 1090RP of content, and 225RP of fractional* content.

  • Cursed Capsules seem to be good compared to other capsules I have seen, but the only thing you can be sure of for your 750RP is -- 225 Orange Essence -- 3 fractional* pieces of content, that you could either combine into 1 random mystery skin, or crush into about 600 or so more Orange Essence. -- If you happen to luck out and get a nice shard, or a Medallion/Kraken worth more shards, you could probably crush everything else into OE and maybe unlock your best shard.

  • The Golden Kraken looks like a very nice item, but there are issues, just like there are with the entire loot system. -- It gives three total pieces of fractional* content -- It gives a "Legenadary Skin Permanent" However -- It cannot be bought directly without spending 7500RP, otherwise only available as a 2% chance (approx. 1 in 50) per Cursed Capsule -- It is possible to earn a Legendary Skin you ALREADY OWN, making it only worth a nice chunk of Orange Essence to help you unlock other shards.

  • The overall problem with fractional content, and why I keep calling shards fractions, is simply because you are not really earning usable content with 1 shard, or fraction. You either need 3 shards to make 1 random skin, or OE from crushing even more shards to earn enough OE to unlock one shard.

*Skin Sales and Mystery Skins are much more RP efficient on average than buying any kind of Loot content.

  • Possible solutions would be to -- Allow players more control over what categories they are spinning the roulette for (i.e. More Hextech Chests categorized by Lane, Role, Theme, etc.) -- Allow players to somehow earn limited amounts of OE without spending RP -- Lower the RP cost of Loot content
  • TL;DR

More Chromas are a good thing! - DW Vlad HYPE! - Love the FREE earn-able swag from this event - However, The Loot system needs to be overhauled. Buying Loot is basically gambling, with a few 'fail-safes' to ensure you earn at least SOMETHING after spending way too much RP on a chance of earning something. - We're basically better off spending RP on Skin Sales and Mystery Skins.

Can you stop using the whole "win one game as <new champion> or win 4 pvp games that include <new champion>" quest, or at least give is another alternative win condition. I hardly ever get this because the champion is almost always permabanned, unless its considered too weak to play in which case you never see it anyhow.

All it feels like is a lame reason to get people to NOT ban the new champions...instead of releasing new champions at a more balanced power level.
