Rotating game mode queue now live!

From the sand-strewn battlefield of Ascension to the frenetic manatee magic of Ultra Rapid Fire, rotating game modes provide unique spins on the classic League formula. It’s time to kick things off with the next game mode in the rotation: Nemesis Draft is now live!

For a refresher on the mode, let’s go over the basics:

Nemesis Draft turns champ select on its head: instead of picking your champions, you’ll choose who your opponents bring onto the Rift. Using your team’s combined champion pool, everyone picks a champion for the opposing team. For example, if you’re blue side, and only Dave on your team has Nidalee, anyone on your team can give anyone on the red team the cat lady, even if none of them own her.

As in any rotating queue game mode, we’ve specially tuned Champion Mastery so you can earn points in the mode. You’ll also be able to earn keys for your wins and loot chests for your (or your premade’s) S-, S, and S+ games, but as always with RGM, you can’t earn Mastery 6 or 7 tokens.

That's simply not true. I personally tried every single champion in URF the last time it was out, and Yasuo was the only one that was wholly unimpressive. ADCs could still use a little boost in the mode (not sure how they'd go about doing that other than giving them more AS and AD - which they've already done), but otherwise, you can seriously play just about any tank or caster in the game and be viable in URF. Plus, URF is meant to just be spell-spammy fun. I've never gotten mad in URF just because the enemy team drafted a better team than me. I always enjoy it regardless, but maybe that's just me.

I don't even care for URF that much and even I'm wondering where the hell that game mode is at this point? Hasn't it only been on the Rotating Game Mode Queue like, twice? I'd rather play URF than ARAM with a giant poro for the millionth time.

We got it two weeks in a row way back in... what, April or May? It's definitely been at least 3 months since it was on there at all, and I'm starting to get tired of seeing Poro King on there every other week. I mean, I'm biased, I actually really like URF, but seriously, we've had 3 Ascensions, at least 4 Poro Kings, a Siege Mode, a couple One For Alls, and I think 2 Hexakills since the last URF. I don't think it's unreasonable of me to at least ask that it be on the roster once every, say, 2-2.5 months, is it?

Incorrect, URF appeared the weekend of April 22 and then on May 20, it has not come back since. While other game modes have had multiple appearances since and are scheduled to be brought out more before URF appears.

First off Riot, I would like to thank you for making rotating queue a thing, and for sort of listening to the community.

I would like to point out that the order these are listed in is the order that they appeared for the first time in the rotating queue, and the number is the number of appearances we will be seeing by 9/12.

Ascension : 4 Poroking : 4 URF : 2 Hexakill : 4 One For All : 3 DnD : 2 Siege : 3 Nemesis : 1

I know there is AI re-work that needs to be done before we can see doom bots of doom, but I would really like to know why when (what feels like at least) half the comments every week are asking for URF, we have only seen it twice? Especially since this week we are seeing Nemesis Draft).

I know transparency isn't the best, because posts like L4T3NCY's post about the state of RGM and its likely direction, especially around the fact that nemesis probably wouldn't be seen, as this week shows, will be wrong. But could we please get an idea on why some game modes are showing up so often and others so rarely? Is URF really that unpopular when its out? Is Poroking / Ascension / Hexakill the best thing since summoners rift?

But it is really disheartening to look and see that most of the game modes have come out 2x as often as URF. (Counting DND Siege and Nemesis as 'new' game modes) And I know next week its going to most likely show that One for all will be there again. But where is URF? I like that game mode the most (being a support main, being able to actually do damage, make plays and all that is really a breath of fresh air and quite fun! You know, what RGM was supposed to be all about), and have seen it the least.

Solid post! Just wanted to add one thing URF didn't come out 4/1/16 like it normally does. So really, if you think about it, we have only had one rotating URF.

There were 2 URF in RGM, the April ~~fail~~ fools day event was the Draven heads Draven , unlike the URF two years and the URF a year before that.

While I agree with you it not coming out like it normally does, that doesn't mean that it didn't come out for the whole of 5 days (2.5 days x 2) compaired to the 13-14 days we have come to expect around the April fools day events.

I'm 80% certain they're doing on changes to URF behind the scenes. It just wouldn't be gone this long in any other situation.

Riot knows half the playerbase really want URF and they also know the other half dislike it, so it makes sense they'd be working on it. There were quite a few problems at the core of URF (Building CDR items, most champs are pick/ban, some champs completely impossible to win with, etc).

Seeing the updates to Ascension alongside the Nexus Siege gamemode Riot is showing they're willing to make new modes and update older ones (such as URF right now most likely)

TL;DR They're very likely updating URF to make it more fun.

IF they are working on it a simple post saying "We are waiting to reintroduce URF to rotating queue until we make a lot of changes" would help a lot

idk man the Poro king is the only time i can Skarner ult someone halfway across the map without a enemy poppy.

Something has to be changing in URF like they changed ascension recently. Otherwise Riot really must hate us by giving us Legend of the Poro King (which by the way is just ARAM except you can pick Varus and Lux instead of it being random which is much worse) for the 6th time.

I just want URF to be back again so I can play my signature GP build: Gangplank : item 3078 item 3031 and my personal favorite: Ashe : item 3285 item 3089 item 3135 item 3041 item 3151 item 3092

Seriously, can we have one damn month without Poro King making another appearance? Since snowballs were introduced to ARAM, the only thing that really even differentiates the two is that occasionally a huge giant ass poro drops from the sky and gets instagibbed.

And I'm not those people who are salty about Urf not showing up, it's just that it's a gamemode that deserves to be commonly played, liked the others that have been introduced for more than 3 times, like Hexakill, Ascension, and Poro King. Too be honest, Urf wouldn't be requested so frequently if they released a sandbox and tweaking champ stats.

The point, Riot just please listen to your community and fans, and realize what the majority of them want.
