Thryale30 votesclose, but no cigar. Your blood does more than carry oxygen. It also carries vital nutrients from the food you digest to your organs along with the life giving oxygen. The blood also kills harmful pathogens, and carries toxic waste chemicals to the kidneys to be disposed of. (pretty certain the liver performs some important function along those lines too, but I don't know the specifics)
