Hey quick question, nice podcast btw, does the ruined king have the potential to become a champion, or is he in the works already?

well, almost everyone from the SI seem to have a gripe with him, i think it could happen.

Long answer short; No.

Short answer long; It's possible, but there's a stronger likelihood to see TRK to appear as a field boss a.k.a. Epic Monster like Vilemaw, rather than a Champion. I think I stand with most of the community though, that I'd prefer a Champ than a boss though a new Epic would be cool too.

And personally I kinda want the Ruined Queen to be a shadowy persona

No. The Ruined King is a character of myth and legend, and shouldn't be playable. He commands such authority and awe/hatred in the world that it would dilute him entirely if he were just a champion in the game. He is a strong lore and plot point, not a champion that we can kill endlessly on the Rift.
