Teamfight Tactics patch 10.1 notes

Riot·1/7/2020, 7:00:03 PM·1 votes·89,245 views

Greetings Tacticians!

Good to see y'all again for a new year of Teamfight Tactics. Our first patch of the new decade is a big one and features one new trait, two new champions, three new items (replacing a few old ones), and the typical line-up of balance changes and adjustments. Here are the highlights: Defensive team compositions should see a boost from the new Lunar trait and the introduction of Leona and Karma to the line-up. A number of items now scale with their wearer's star level. Light has been buffed both as a trait and from a number of individual champions.

Last but not least, a new year of TFT wouldn't be complete without a few new Little Legends. Keep an eye out for our new friends who should become available later this week.

Take this portal if you're looking for League's patch notes!

Let's get into it!
Blake "Riot Beernana" Edwards

New Little Legends

Flutterbug

Wants to take over the world -- and eat all the yummiest things in it. But, he’s very small. He often has to hide under things in order to not get squashed. While he hides, he machinates on his complex plans.

Craggle

An adorable statue carved from the finest Demacian petricite (anti-magic stone). He has a soft spot for the vulnerable creatures of the world, and tries to protect them with every ounce of his strength as if he was a giant colossus -- even if he is still growing.

Tocker

Tocker is constantly tinkering with things to make them better, even on his own body! (His left wing is always a bit squeaky). He loves meeting new people and learning about the world through his enormous blue eyes.

I don't really care how TFT is balance unless y'all do one thing. Just let us get some xp for playing the mode.

The new attack speeds (15%/35%/55%) for Light origin are not shown in-game in the description!

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined

Does the champ in the carousel add to the amount of that champ in the pool? An is a champ stat tracker showing the remaining number a good or bad idea?

EVOLVE7691/7/2020, 10:05:39 PM5 votes

Took Gauntlet and Spark to a whole new level, I love the changes done! Unfortunately, Mundo Tank is gone with the new Last Whisper, but I cant wait to see the monsters people create with the new Quicksilver. Hope Mobile TFT is coming soon!

Skhadow1/8/2020, 5:47:11 AM4 votes

They should reduce the availability of spatula to be on Carousel earlier, people forcing that "Blender" comp is boring, I've seen people lose 60-80 hp to get a spatula. Watching 4 "players" clustering to get that item, is just kinda lame, sometimes is next to an item you want and well, it's pretty much gone.

Make it more likely available on 3rd and 4th carousel, in that way we will see less people "forcing" it and trade their HP for an item, they will be risking more health than before for doing something like that.

Also Riot, you need to add more blademasters on this TFT set #2, being able to gain that trait with 2/4/6 champíons is too easy, make it like last TFT set #1, where BM was 3/6/9, since there is only 4 actual blademasters: MasterYi Sivir Aatrox Yasuo . This will hurt that "Blender" comp a lot as an option to avoid players show their "skill" with Nocturne.

P.D: I think Riot should use the format like in the normal patch notes, more colorful, just more visually pleasing to read. It's been some months and it would be more neat and helpful, it's just looks bland or simple

Rance Hahn1/8/2020, 7:39:21 AM4 votes

why do you keep buffing Aatrox I feel like he's fine it's just he's not very good synergy-wise in a blade master comp so he's not used there and he's actually pretty strong in light comps I understand buffing 2 star Aatrox and buffing his health due to the changes in 3 star health gain and such but 3 star Aatrox was already really strong in terms of damage he doesn't need to do fricken 1200 damage lmfao

Cat4help1/8/2020, 1:42:33 AM3 votes

Lunari is fun but they are going to be nerfed arent they? cause the origins/elements you guys released before (Like Soulbounds and inferno) were based on rolling them into a full set at the end game or mid but the Lunari synergy is so good with any class/element. That Lunari is going to be nerfed at least i think. Also spell power is op and ranger champs got buffed but at the same time gets nerfed by the items that slow AA speed or reduces crit, plus those items are all physical. Buff Dragons claw at least since there is so much spell damage output. As well as buff healing, Janna cant do anything but be a CC bot and Redemption takes so long that the wearer wearing that item dies before its procs.

iLLskillz1/7/2020, 11:36:13 PM3 votes

still no news on tft mobile?

Pyrrhicblade1/8/2020, 6:11:17 AM3 votes

Blender got big buffs and other comps got very impactful nerfs... what is this crap even.

XanithDeGroot1/13/2020, 8:03:34 PM3 votes

I know there is counter for it, but its still super unfun to fight glacials. It feels like a hard counter to some teamcomps, which the new looking forward video posed today said riot was wanting to avoid. Something to make it feel more balanced, and less like RNG losing the game due to your carry getting perma-frozen. Would love to at least hear how the balance team feels about glacials, as I know there were complains about them in set one too.

PS: To avoid the standard insult of "Instead of just talking about the problem, offer a solution," i'll give you one. Make the glacial buff an aura (Like Desert) or on hit attack speed slow. It fits in with the more tanky nature of some of the glacial units (Voli, Warwick, Braum, Olaf) and makes it more of a soft counter to lights, rather than a total shutdown. It also prevents a guaranteed loss if your carry unit is hit by it, as they can still act.

ichigo13471/11/2020, 6:07:19 AM3 votes

I don't think Azir's damage is what needs a buff. I think he shouldn't have a casting animation for putting his soldiers down. For a champion that relies on auto attacking for his main source of damage, it takes a long time for him to put a soldier down and start attacking again.

Chancezahr20001/8/2020, 11:14:17 AM3 votes

Yeah fix that sht but dont fix the fkin bug with letters and numbers instead of the players actual username....Great!

Light new meta

Wexton1/7/2020, 7:42:25 PM2 votes

IDC if you don't change anything about Yuumi except for how long her Q is alive for. Weaving through minions and snagging a hit was what made her a fun champion. Also if you are on a champ like Quinn, it becomes much harder to utilize her movement speed. As well as how it's so important to hit every Q early, it's not active long enough to zig zag and then hit to correct for a bad adc's positioning or reaction time. It already does next to no damage in early lane, so just having the ability to make sure one lands would be very helpful

One of my favorite changes to this patch is that item 3190 item 3285 item 3087 all scale by level.

It feels really bad man when a lvl 1 KogMaw destroys your whole team with item 3285 off the rip. Or someone builds item 3190 and they now have 1.5 champs worth of hp.

Love under bugfixin' they sound SUPER excited about actually fixing a bug! lmao

Straph1/11/2020, 2:24:52 AM1 votes

Little light on the bugfixin don't ya think? Mages still routinely double cast on the same target that could have been killed by a single cast.

Gotta love 1337

Olaf seems to be bugged. Not sure if it was a heal debuff item or if it was the rage blade I put on him but he never got the lifesteal from his ult at 1 or 2 stars. There were a few matchups with heal debuffs and he didn't gain any kind of lifesteal back after the debuffs wore off

Tammyyy1/21/2020, 6:54:21 PM1 votes

it seems that Vayne stays unchanged? still Vayne Ability Damage (Percentage of Max Health): 9%/12%/15%
