New Epic skins: Immortal Journey

IMMORTAL JOURNEY

The mountaintop reaches skyward; the earth reaches for the heavens. In this mountain there is a lake, and from this lake rose the Sacred Sword.

ETERNAL SWORD YI

1350 RP

The master swordsman spent years wandering in search of the Sacred Sword, pushing ever closer to its secrets. He is a petal falling from the sky, his path shaped by the winds of fate.

SOARING SWORD FIORA

1350 RP

The masterful fencer followed in the footsteps of Eternal Blade Yi, advancing on her path as swiftly as a crane in flight. Through her extraordinary talent and ambition, she aims to surpass the swordsman in his quest.

SACRED SWORD JANNA

1350 RP

The protection of the boundary between this world and the next falls to the beautiful keeper of the Sacred Sword, who drew it from the mountain lake at the world’s edge long ago.

Where the Heavens Touch the Earth

The snow howls outside the window
As we sit at the foot of our Master.
A blue frost reflected in her eyes,
Silvered light caresses her hair.

Winter days freeze the mountain,
Yet the melody of Spring remains.
The heartwood will burn to cinders
While the timeless wind beckons.

Our Master sets a journey before us,
To seek immortality’s secrets.
For where the heavens touch the earth,
Revelation will surely bloom.

For where the earth greets the sky,
She guards a blade of Myth.
A scarlet shadow reflected in the lotus pond,
And gossamer sleeves trail mystery through the wind.

Metal, forged from stone hard and ancient,
A thirsty blade quenched in a river of stars.
Possession casts all sense into oblivion
As the eight mortal sufferings are blown away.

The greenwood grows fiercely
And the wild flame blossoms, eager to meet fate.
Riled and unpredictable, blades flash like dragons.
Her elegant hand teases their destiny.

Seven eyes gaze from an immortal plane,
With eight facets of a heart clear and crystalline.
Is there a choice of perfection;
A space, between the fleeting dew and immortality?

Why isn't the TRANSCENDENT ICON available for IP?

AuraCreedSep 28, 201710 votes

Yeah, right? I'm bummed too. Thought it was at LEAST going to be a mission for it if not available for IP (since that seems to be a thing of the past with free icons now a days).

ImD1 WolfSep 28, 201714 votes

As am I, it was a better time when you could get the odd icon out for 1500 IP. They should really start doing that again, so not everyone will get it like a 1 IP icon, but we can still get it without RP if we want. [sg-soraka]

AuraCreedSep 28, 20177 votes

Yeah -- was looking forward to this one too. Was one of the better (possibly) free icons IMO.

I don't mind that they ended up throwing similar icons into the missions instead (more IP I can save for chromas later or champs), but the IP option at least let people buy it for RP later if, say, a newer player joined and really wanted the icon.

ForFoxSakesSep 28, 20175 votes

Yeah would've liked my Pisces sign icon but IMO icons arent really worth paying RP for when you can only use 1 and the rest just sits there. Wouldve paid IP for it though

PinkajSep 29, 20173 votes

Ikr! They've put at least 1 for ip in the past and now they're not*[sg-janna]*

Okay why are we ignoring Fiora with Chromas?

Now that you point that out, that IS weird.

Captain OSheaSep 28, 20172 votes

she already has 2 skins with chromas. considering how many champions still have 0 giving her 3 would be kinda dumb

TropuniSep 29, 20172 votes

she just got the pool party chromas and also has the headmistress ones. thats my best guess. but its pretty sweet we are getting 5 skins and two chroma sets at once

AureilyaSep 28, 20173 votes

Aw I really wanted one of these skins but I don't know if I should spend any more money on league haha.. already spent too much. Do Epic skins no longer go on sale for a short time after release? I think I remember there being sales for new skins.[sg-janna]

Echo3sSep 29, 20173 votes

Riot, why tf does Janna get a sword skin, but not Shen ? One revolves entirely around a floating magical sword, the other is a support who throws around tornados. Rito pls*[sg-janna]*

Arclight WangkozOct 3, 20171 votes

Watch and read more Chinese Wuxia stories and movies, you will see why Janna matches better than Shen. Shen is too Samuraic for this style.

The poem makes no sense. One might say it "casts all sense into oblivion."

I love the art style and design of these skins and even the icons are done extremely well. Their realistic in nature but still use a fantasy color pallet, i look forward to seeing this more in league.

Arclight WangkozOct 3, 20171 votes

To correct the misunderstandings, this is Xianxia instead of Wuxia. It is kind of different in the way of how people fight. Google and see, trust a Chinese person on this summoner 13
