Jhin Champion Spotlight

Hey Riot, I just have a question about Jhin. Jhin's E in the champion spotlight and on the details in the Jhin: The Virtuoso state that his E is triggered by champions running over the traps. However, minions trigger the E and I was wondering if this was a bug and the E was only supposed to be triggered by champions walking over it or minions were always supposed to be able to trigger his E?
