Instead of a story, I wanted to talk to you guys about something (don't worry, I won't do this again. There will be a story on Thursday. I just felt the need to have a conversation, I hope you guys don't mind).
I saw that the All-Star Pick 10 results were revealed, I was really excited to see what teams they were going to play. After all, this was our chance to pretty much force pro-players to play some of the rarer champions like Poppy, Urgot, Viktor, Sion, Skarner (440 RP)... Hell, I was sure Brand would be picked for the FIRE team or Cryocore Brand (487 RP) for the ICE team.
And then I was extremely disappointed to see that people voted for the most generic, overplayed champions: not only are Thresh, Lucian and Lee Sin on BOTH teams, but people voted for Ezreal AGAIN. I mean, he won the votes for the Hexakill URF champion (which means he'll already be played by two players in Hexakill URF, but now they chose him again?)
So, can someone explain to me why these champs were chosen? If any of you voted for these champs, can you tell me what was your thought process?
I just honestly don't understand how, if those champions get picked in the LCS all the freaking time, people want to see them being played again? Wouldn't it be, you know, more fun to see a pro finally play Fiora (487 RP) or even freaking Teemo?
